About Us

Being surrounded with love and care from people in the university, we cannot help but to feel sad for the children of Somalia who lose their parents, family and friends each day, and on top of that, they do not even have enough food to eat.

Meanwhile, we are constantly showered with love and good more-than-enough meals every single day, and we thought that it's time to give back to the community. With that, we feel the need to help them and if not all, at least to be able to lift up a portion of their burden.

When our faculty, Faculty of Communication and Media, Universiti Selangor (FCM, UNISEL) first came up with the idea, we gave nothing but full support. We feel that being able to make someone who is 23,487.5 kilometres away smile is something that you can never put a price on, no matter how tiring the process may get.

With the combination of manpower from the entire faculty members, Bachelor of Communication (Corporate Communication) and Diploma in Communication and Media students, we bring you UNISEL Walk of Hope: Save Somalia, Save the Children - a walkathon charity event, where you will be able to stay fit and blow off some steam whilst doing charity. What can be better than taking care of your health and making someone else's day?

Working closely together with a Turkish NGO - Kimse Yok Mu , we aim to increase the existing awareness of Somalia famine crisis and to raise donations as to help feed the children of Somalia, who are in desperate need of humanitarian assistance.

With this, we bid goodbye and we hope to see you on October 7, 2012. Together, we can make the world a better place.

Love & Light,
Zulaikha Zulkifli
Head of Publicity, Promotion, and Media
